On June 30, 2025, representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part in the final conference of the project of the Ukrainian CCI system “Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Field of Trade”, which was funded by the German government and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
This large-scale project became an extremely important stage in the development of the competencies of the Zaporizhzhia CCI in the field of technical regulation and export preparation. Thanks to participation in the project, the Chamber received new tools to support businesses preparing to enter the EU markets.
During the conference, the results of the project, its impact on the development of Ukrainian SMEs, as well as opportunities for further international cooperation were discussed. The participants got acquainted with the success stories of Ukrainian SMEs that received support through the CCI system, as well as with the key achievements of the project.
In particular, more than 300 Ukrainian companies were trained during the trainings; more than 30 received individual consultations. The CCI system has formed a pool of certified consultants on technical regulation and export.
Ksenia Nagorna, Head of the International Relations Department of the Zaporizhzhia CCI, a certified consultant on export and technical regulation, noted:
“We see high demand from business for support in technical regulation issues. Therefore, when the opportunity arose to undergo training and implement a new service, we joined without hesitation. Today, we are already supporting Zaporizhzhia companies in preparing for export in accordance with EU requirements. This is an extremely popular area, and we are grateful to international partners and the CCI system for the opportunity to develop.”
A new service from the Zaporizhzhia CCI — consulting companies on compliance with EU market requirements, technical regulation, and preparation of export documentation — is already available.
This is especially relevant for companies that plan to enter the European Union markets or are preparing for certification of their products.
