A free business support program is launching in frontline communities: consultations, training, and new partnership opportunities

The Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry announces the launch of a new expert project to support businesses in frontline regions. Entrepreneurs will be able to receive advice, undertake training and take part in business cooperation events.

The project ‘Partnership for Development: Strengthening Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Communities of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk Regions’ is being implemented by the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the ‘Partnership for a Strong Ukraine’ Programme.

Over the course of 12 months, more than 1,000 business representatives will be able to take part in a series of webinars and sessions with experts.

A separate focus is on individual expert support. At least 100 companies will receive consultations tailored to the needs of businesses operating in high-risk environments. These will include practical recommendations on resuming and developing business activities and will facilitate better access to government and donor support programmes.

Volodimir Shamilov, President of the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, notes: “For over four years, we have been operating under conditions of full-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation, responding promptly to the needs of businesses and new complex challenges. Among our priorities is providing high-quality and timely expert support to businesses. The new project will enable us to strengthen this work and expand opportunities for entrepreneurs.”

The programme includes the following activities:

a series of practical, interactive workshops focused on enhancing business resilience and management during crises;
one-to-one business consultations;
events to foster partnerships and raise awareness of government support services;
themed online visits to businesses to exchange experiences and implement best business practices;
activities to improve and update the Zaporizhzhia CCI’s portfolio of business services in line with the current needs of MSMEs.
Special editions of a digest highlighting current regional opportunities from government and international programmes will also be produced.

All training activities and consultations are provided free of charge.

This project is implemented with the support of the ‘Partnership for a Strong Ukraine’ Programme, which is funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, Estonia, Canada, Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden.
