The Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented programmes to support veterans at a forum on career development

The ‘Opportunities for Veterans’ Professional Development’ forum was held for the third time in Zaporizhzhia, with the aim of helping male and female veterans to successfully reintegrate into civilian life. The event, organised by Zaporizhzhia City Council, was attended by the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, member companies of the Chamber, educators and civil society organisations.

This year, the forum brought together over 50 jobseekers from among veterans and their families.

Andriy Kuts, Vice-President of the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented to participants a programme of free business support in frontline communities, which the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry is implementing jointly with the Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the ‘Partnership for a Strong Ukraine’ programme. The programme offers a range of opportunities, including advisory support, training, the development of partnerships, and support for entrepreneurs in growing their own businesses.

In particular, veterans planning to start or grow their own business can join the ‘Code of Resilience’ training programme. The training will help them master practical business development tools, prepare to secure funding and expand opportunities for growing their own business.

Andriy Kuts also spoke about other areas of support for entrepreneurship that the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry is implementing in collaboration with Ukrainian and international partners.

The topics covered in the presentations of the first module included the professional integration of veterans, support for entrepreneurial activities, and budget grants and how to apply for them.
